Molly has been with the firm since March 2007. Molly counsels homeowners associations in transactional matters ranging from document reviews and amendments to opinion letters on matters affecting the operations and governance of community associations. Molly is committed to a preventative approach to community association law that emphasizes good governance practices and sound approaches to problem-solving.
Based upon her years of professional experience in the non-profit arena, Molly has become an expert in governance issues, training and strategic planning. She uses this experience in teaching classes to homeowners, volunteer leaders and managers at Firm educational functions and drafting articles for the Firm's newsletter and blog. She also assists homeowners associations in planning for the future by facilitating strategic planning sessions and crafting action plans to move associations forward in a positive manner.
Prior to joining HindmanSanchez, Molly was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Community Associations Institute (CAI). In that position, Molly was the Chief Lobbyist for CAI National and worked with Legislative Action Committees of CAI around the country to formulate and create strategies for introducing and passing proactive legislation for community associations and addressing onerous bills. Molly also worked closely with the Board of Directors, College of Community Association Lawyers and Government & Public Affairs Committee to create positive programming and resources for community associations across the country. Molly was the key senior staff member responsible for assisting the CAI Board of Directors in transitioning to a new governance model emphasizing solid governance techniques and outreach to members.
